Day 1 to 4

The first couple of days have been great, just going slow to get my body and mind in gear. In my solo trips I tend to succeed when I work up to longer, harder days in a progression.

Day 2 was short, I had a migraine and took a nap on the beach while families and interested people went close to take a look. When I woke up and started setting up my camp spot, I was asked by several different people what I was doing. Good stuff but head was hurting so my chatter was short. I was chugging the water that I had with me so I messaged one of the women in the east coast sea kayaking club if she wouldn’t mind bringing me a couple liters as she lived nearby. Turns out her friend lived at the top of the hill so I went over and they even fed me a lovely dinner with a glass of Prosecco. Quite the second night out! Very nice people.

Day 3 I cut a ring off my neck gasket as to prevent headaches I was having and it’s done the job.

Day 4 from Clogga beach, south of Arklow to just south of Ardamine, I started off the a good tail wind which turned to an on shore wind, north of Courtown. I couldn’t go in the harbor because there was a digger doing work in the water, it looked like dredging it more. So as I carried on I knew I was probably looking for my spot for the eve because conditions were building and it would be less windy tomorrow. Eventually I found a beach that didn’t have private houses just above it and surf landed around the reef. Not the best first half the day considering I hadn’t eaten or stopped at all to pee, whoops.
